PFS 1-35: Voice in the Void

-
System: Pathfinder Roleplaying Game
Duration: ~4 hours

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

Mystery strikes again at the problem-plagued Blackros Museum in Absalom and its curator, Nigel Aldain, needs your help. When a famed Osirian tomb raider returns to Absalom and disappears in the museum's basement, Aldain fears the worst. When strange sounds echo from below and several of the curator's night watchmen go missing, he panics and begs the Society to investigate the mystery and save his museum from the darkness that infests it.

Voice in the Void is a follow-up scenario to Pathfinder Society Scenario #5: Mists of Mwangi. When played together, the scenarios create a mini story arc in the famed Blackros Museum.

But the tapestry wasn't designed for this purpose, and travel from Absalom to Varisia could be more efficient. READ ME YOU NERDY JERKFACES!

Wink

There's been a little confusion about Pathfinder Society rules and what is legal and not legal for play. We realize PFS can be a little bit of bear to learn, so the regular GMs are working towards getting everyone on the same page. Until then, here are links to help you out:

GUIDE TO PFS ORGANIZED PLAY (v4.3)
This explains everything you need to know about PFS including Factions, Prestige and Fame. Read this. Own this. It's free!

PFS ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
You are responsible for knowing if something you are using is legal or not. If you have the time to figure out the best feat or the coolest gear for your character, then you have the time to double check if it is legal for PFS play;) It's free!

An excellent resource for PFS folk to lurk, read and learn! I'm linking the PFS specific area, but there are also rules and advice forums as well! Rule of three: it's free!

Finally, as a reminder, keep good records of your character and make sure to bring all of your Chronicle sheets to every game.

If you forget your Chronicle sheets, you will be unable to play your character, though you may be able to play a pregenerated character or start another character within Society rules. GMs rely on accurately kept Chronicle sheets to keep the campaign honest, fair, and fun for everyone. So keep your records safe, keep them accurate, and keep them with you when attending Pathfinder Society Organized Play events.

If you need help tracking down missing chronicles, please let one of the Dojo regular GMs know and we will band together to help you!

I love you all, except Rob Churchwell and his stupid characters like a cleric that doesn't channel and that one barbarian that throws oversized chakrams.

Who are the regular GMs?

Timothy M. was like

I also have a 7th level Fighter (Archer) available for 4-16. He's GL (as opposed to Hedda, who is SC).

Rene D. was like

Looks like the regular GMs are the ones signed up to play 4-16

Callek will be L7

Just wanted to give people who are signed up for Echoes Part IV a heads up that you need to have played in parts I-III to participate in the series finale. If you did parts I-III outside of the ones I'm running, you have to bring your chronicle sheet.

Timothy M. was all

I do not remember that being a requirement on the Everwar series. I do remember Part IV supposedly having spoilers for Part III, so it is highly recommended that they are not played out of order.

I also could not find any such requirement on the scenario's page on Paizo. So...where is this coming from? Is it just a matter of my faulty memory?

Perry L. said

I am playing the entire Everwar Series so I'm out of GMing for the month. But I'll volunteer for two in April.

Jared E. was all

I might be able to GM for 4-16, but can't commit till I know my work schedule.

Garrett G. was all

There will be disappointment unless another GM steps up for 4-16.

Robert C. was all

I would, but I'm out of the country. I am planning to GM more, starting in April.

Richard B. was like

I didn't specify a PC for Voices in the Void, because I have several in that range, so I'm flexible.

Jared E. was all

Brad R., If you would like to play rather than run, I can run the scenario. I had to wait till my work schedule came available and I am not working Monday night. Otherwise I will just play something.

Richard B. said

Switched signups. There are two adventures I actually want to play on this week's list, so I went with the one that has enough GMs.

Brad R. was all

Jared I will let you judge this since I forgot I am out of town for work this week.

Rene D. was like

There gonna be a ton of unhappy players on Monday.

joe k. was all

I wiill go ahead and back up gm voice in the void. Have played it before. So 1 less for fabric and will take care of everyone for void.

joe k. said

Now we need jared to respond to roberts post to confirm he will backup gm fabric like he said he was willibg to do. Then we will be all good to go. Will get voice in the void now and start prepping.

Richard B. was all

Given the GM situation, I switched my signup back from Fabric of Reality to Voice in the Void. I'm flexible, and they're both scenarios I want to play. And I can play both at either sub-tier. So I'll just play at whatever table has room for me tonight.

Now I wish I'd had more free time to prep something so I could help with GMing tonight. I can last minute GM something at 1-5, but I don't have anything prepped for the higher levels.

Garrett G. was all

I'd like to personally thank Joe K. for taking one for the team and filling in to GM for Voice in the Void.

Stepping up to GM means that you are a person willing to facilitate the fun for everyone at your table. It's should seem only fair that others would be willing to reciprocate.

Please talk to myself, Brad, Sammy, Robert, or any of the other regular GMs if you need some advice or are willing to step up to GM some games. It takes extremely little in terms of resources to begin GMing.

Jared E. was all

Sorry for the delay in responding. I've been working like crazy and haven't had a chance to hop on to check out the situation. I am all prepped for the adventure though and will be there tonight.

Sammy T. was all

@Tim For some reason, the website didn't post my reply to your Part IV question. The actual scenario itself lists the restriction on the first page of text, but none of the website site or scenario info online mentions it.

Richard B. said

Ok, I give up on actually being signed up to play for the right scenario. Smile I keep switching based on the GM situation, and the fact that we had too many players for the GMs, but now I'm ready to give up. I'll see what it looks like when I show up tonight. And I'll bring along another level 1-5 adventure to run if we need an extra GM, because it looks like we might. But it won't be Voice in the Void, because I haven't read that one, and I refuse to run anything cold.

Garrett G. said

Richard B.,

As long as you are ok with playing fast and loose, everything should be fine. I would recommend playing Fabric now that we have another GM.

You were signed up to play Fabric in the first place. You have been more than helpful in the past with stepping up to GM pick-up tables and regularly scheduled tables, often with no notice whatsoever. I'd like to extend my personal thanks for all that as well.

I'd also like to extend thanks to Jessica for GMing every week in the month of March.

Also, also...I have $5 coupons for all judges; everything owed from the last month and including tonight.

Sorry, I had to drop. I'm sick, and I don't want to get sicker nor get anyone there sick, so I hope I'm not keeping anyone from a game.
