PFS 1-42: Echoes of the Everwar—Part II: The Watcher of Ages

-
System: Pathfinder Roleplaying Game
Duration: ~4 hours

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 7th to 11th level characters (Tiers: 7–8 and 10–11).

Hundreds of years ago a once mighty fortress in Cheliax sank into the earth and was forever destroyed. You are sent there to catalog the ruins, known as the Collapsed Halls, and to find the rumored hidden tomb of an Osiriani concubine. After clearing the ruins of hideous beasts, you explore deeper into the ruins than anyone before you and uncover a malevolent intelligence that has watched Golarion for more than 5,000 years. Worse, he knows you're coming.

The Watcher of Ages is part 2 of the Echoes of the Everwar series. Parts 1, 2, and 3 can be played in any order and part 4 must be played last. Look for part 3, Pathfinder Society Scenario #43: Terror at Whistledown, in February 2010.

READ ME YOU NERDY JERKFACES!

There's been a little confusion about Pathfinder Society rules and what is legal and not legal for play. We realize PFS can be a little bit of bear to learn, so the regular GMs are working towards getting everyone on the same page. Until then, here are links to help you out:

GUIDE TO PFS ORGANIZED PLAY (v4.3)
This explains everything you need to know about PFS including Factions, Prestige and Fame. Read this. Own this. It's free!

PFS ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
You are responsible for knowing if something you are using is legal or not. If you have the time to figure out the best feat or the coolest gear for your character, then you have the time to double check if it is legal for PFS play;) It's free!

PAIZO FORUMS
An excellent resource for PFS folk to lurk, read and learn! I'm linking the PFS specific area, but there are also rules and advice forums as well! Rule of three: it's free!

Finally, as a reminder, keep good records of your character and make sure to bring all of your Chronicle sheets to every game.

If you forget your Chronicle sheets, you will be unable to play your character, though you may be able to play a pregenerated character or start another character within Society rules. GMs rely on accurately kept Chronicle sheets to keep the campaign honest, fair, and fun for everyone. So keep your records safe, keep them accurate, and keep them with you when attending Pathfinder Society Organized Play events.

If you need help tracking down missing chronicles, please let one of the Dojo regular GMs know and we will band together to help you!

I love you all, except Rob Churchwell and his stupid characters like a cleric that doesn't channel and that one barbarian that throws oversized chakrams.

I've played both of those low levels, so I'll GM one of them. I'll just wait and see how many GMs we have for each before deciding which one I'll GM.

Callek will be L7

Just wanted to give people who are signed up for Echoes Part IV a heads up that you need to have played in parts I-III to participate in the series finale. If you did parts I-III outside of the ones I'm running, you have to bring your chronicle sheets on the 25th.

My wife is having some health issues, so I need to step down from GMing this week. I will be much less frequent in my attendance for the foreseeable future.

Have fun guys!

So sorry to hear that Stephen. I hope that everything is okay. Thinking good thoughts for her!

I can GM if we need one, if so, please send me the scenario so I can prep for it. Thanks.

Son of a bitch. I've already played both of the non-high level scenarios. I'd GM one of them, but we don't have enough players to justify it. I didn't think I'd been playing for THAT long. I wonder if this is what it's like for Tim, Brad, and the other PFS veterans...

Matthew . was like

You can GM for me any time Robert.

For reference I'll be playing a lvl 2

Timothy M. was like

Yes, except that (with the exception of some of the sanctioned modules and all of the now-approved Adventure Paths) I get to play NEW stuff only and keep a list of what I've judged. Were I more like Rene, I probably wouldn't mind judging the same scenario multiple times (there are a few that are a blast to run). Actually, as I've gotten rather blasé about GM credits I should probably keep an eye out for any scenarios that are in need of a GM in the future.

We could use another judge for 0-04: Frozen Fingers of Midnight. Alternatively, those that are able and willing could switch tables from 0-04 to 0-17. If you are going to do that, it would be better to do it now so that we can better gauge numbers.

Timothy M. was all

Can't do tonight, but I will be more vigilant in keeping an eye out in the future.

Brandie R. said

Matthew and I are not going to be attending tonight, because we both woke up sick today. We were hoping to get magically better, and we are certainly feeling better than we were. But we are still pretty bad off. Sorry!

Matthew . was all

Yup, we be sick! Ugh. Have fun tonight!
